Mammals
The primeval forest of Mountain Beidawu provides easily disturbed mammals a quiet habitat. Often seen along the trail are Formosa macaque, Formosan whitefaced flying, Formosan weasel, Formosan yellowthroated Marten, and Formosan stripped squirrel. Large mammals include Formosan black bear, which is listed as endangered species.
